Getting Paid

You will be paid monthly on 19th of the month and each monthly basic salary payment covers the period of the month in which it is paid (partly in arrears and partly in advance). For example, a salary payment made on 19th January covers the period 1-31st January.
Your first salary payment is determined by the date you joined. If your record is not active in time for the payroll cut off date, your salary will be processed in the ‘off-cycle' pay run, which usually credits into your bank account on the last working day of the month.
For general assistance, please contact the HR Helpline 0800 028 3803.

Bank Account

If you are new to Santander you will need to open a Santander bank account as soon as possible so that we can make your salary payments to you. You can choose to open any account in the Santander group in the UK including cahoot and Cater Allen, or you may wish to choose to benefit from our staff 123 Current Account*.
Once you have your account number and sort code, please make sure you update your details on HR Online to avoid any delays with salary payments. Click here to find out more about HR Online.
To open a Santander staff account please go to your nearest Santander branch, if this is not possible speak to your Santander resourcing contact once you have your employee number or click here to find out more about our range of staff products

Pay Slips

Pay slips are available electronically in HR Online and you can print them if you want to. Click here to access the 'How to' guide and here to access the payroll cut off dates.

HMRC (Inland Revenue)

To make sure your salary calculations are correct, we need a P45 from your previous employer. If you don't have one, you must complete and submit the Starter Checklist to payroll as soon as possible. This will make sure you don't pay too much tax.
Please send the completed Starter Checklist or your P45 to:

AAM 446 Santander House,
201 Grafton Gate East,
Milton Keynes MK9 1AN
